About this model
Claude Haiku 5.5 is Anthropic's fast, lightweight model for high-volume tasks such as classification, extraction, summarization, customer support, and coding subagents. It accepts text and images and produces text, with a 1,000,000-token context window and up to 128,000 output tokens. It supports tool use, structured outputs, streaming, and prompt caching. Adaptive thinking is enabled by default at medium effort; available levels are low, medium, high, xhigh, and max. Thinking can be disabled at low, medium, or high effort. Its knowledge cutoff is June 2026. Omit temperature, top_p, and top_k; manual thinking budgets and assistant prefill are unsupported.
